Directions: Great Keppel Island lies off the coast of Yeppoon (approximately 45kms from Rockhampton). Freedom Fast Cat ferries depart from Pier 1 Rosslyn Bay Harbour: Tuesday 10.30 am to island; 2.00 pm from island. Wednesday to Sunday 9.15 am to island; 3.45 pm from island. Additional service on Friday - 3.00 pm to island; 10.00 am from island. No service on Mondays.
If driving, turn onto the Yeppoon Road just north of Rockhampton at the Dreamtime Aboriginal Cultural Centre and follow for 40kms. As you approach Yeppoon, you'll get a sweeping view of the islands off the coast. Turn left at third roundabout (Information Centre) and follow signs to Rosslyn Bay Harbour. Great Keppel Island Security Carpark is on the right just before turning left to the Harbour.
